Notice regarding acquisition of shares in Dutch gas detection and alarm system manufacturer
NEW COSMOS ELECTRIC CO., LTD.,(listed on JASDAQ: stock code 6824, address: 2-5-4 Mitsuyanaka, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka, TEL: 06-6308-3112, President: Tetsushi Shigemori, capital: 1.46 billion yen) is gas detection and alarm system in the Netherlands.
Since developing the world's Residential Gas Alarms in 1964, we have been a specialized manufacturer of gas detection and alarm system, developing, manufacturing and selling a wide range of gas detectors and alarm for home and industrial use. Currently, we are not only providing products in Japan, but also in other regions, particularly in Asia, and are working to globalize our business.
BIE is a company established in the Netherlands in 1986 that develops, manufactures, and sells fixed type gas detection and alarm system primarily for use in factories, and has a particularly strong track record of selling to semiconductor factories.
The acquisition of this share coincided with the idea that our company was looking to secure a sales base in the European market, where we have little sales experience, and that BIE was looking to stabilize its management base in order to be successful in the competition with major rivals. As a result, we agreed that our company would acquire 65% of BIE's shares.
With this acquisition, we will sell our products to the European market through BIE. We will also consider developing new products for the European market by combining our technology with BIE's technology.
